Project done at Klove Studios 2021

Concept sketching for this chandelier began as a visual exploration of how Art Deco geometry can harmoniously intertwine with lush, cascading tropical forms to create a statement of structured elegance and organic abundance.

The installation is a suspended lighting sculpture that merges Art Deco symmetry and structure with tropical organicism. The chandelier features a multi-tiered configuration, integrating brushed brass arms, precision-cut metallic botanical motifs (e.g., palm, monstera, fern), and frosted or ribbed glass diffusers. These components are arranged to create a radial, cascading form—a nod to Deco geometry—while also evoking the layered canopy and movement of tropical flora.

The design balances material contrast (hard metals vs. soft light diffusion) and visual density (clustered vs. open areas) to achieve a sense of drama without overwhelming the space. The chandelier is envisioned as a site-specific installation adaptable in scale, suited for luxury hospitality or high-ceilinged residential interiors.
